Life lately, you guys. It feels like the life tornado swept through and left us with two little girls of terror. Ava is struggling on and off with her attitude. The team “threenager” is more true than I can explain. Bossy attitude, extreme independence and constantly fighting us to get her way. On top of that she is growing out of her naps and doesn’t understand how to be quiet. This has caused Quinn to be upside down on naps some days and leaves us all crying.
Quinn on the other hand is a tiny monster. If she’s not climbing on top of the play table, she is knocking something over, falling off some piece of furniture leaving a bruise or knot on her head and most recently – chipping her front tooth! It’s not as bad as I’m likely making it out to be but she legit chipped a small piece of her front tooth and when she gives you that toothy grin you see it in all its glory. Life was easy with one but now that two are fully moving and functioning, it’s tough!
The Christmas tree was a challenge and we only managed to break one ornament so far. Was I crazy to put up a tree with these crazy girls running around my house? I’m debating on whether or not we should actually wrap their presents because I’m sure they will break in to them before Christmas morning.
Let’s talk about this sweater and these layers because I admittedly wore this outfit all weekend long. I wore it as pictured here, with leggings and then with black denim without the denim shirt. It’s so simple yet a look I would never have gravitated towards before. Too many layers can give you the appearance of looking too bulky but when you pick the right pieces and layer them correctly it works out.
This sweater from Old Navy is super soft and comes in 8 different colors. It’s perfect to wear alone but I do like the look of being layered with a denim shirt. The sweater is fitted enough that it allows enough room for layering and is a great throw on and go piece.
Can we talk about these boots again? You may have seen them in this outfit post and they are on serious repeat. I picked a similar pair (here) and both are on constant repeat right now. If you don’t have a pair of OTK boots yet, make sure you invest in them asap. They are a must have for the winter.
Here’s to hoping this week is a little bit better and my girls are a bit more calm. Let’s also hope no one else chips a tooth!
