I had a new outfit post planned for today but then Quinn came down with a major case of teething (fever, slobber, runny nose and crankiness) which caused me to change plans. As much as I like to control everything around me, there’s no controlling my children and when they are sick it’s all hands on deck. Quinn is definitely my snuggly girl. When she’s sick or not feeling well she loves to cuddle and has to be touching me at all times. Ava is the complete opposite and would rather be left alone, unless it’s really bad and she wants to snuggle I know it’s not good. She’s literally laid around all day so the outfit post I had planned for today will have to wait another week.
Instead of a holiday inspired look I decided to put together two cozy holiday looks. These outfits that are perfect for a day of traveling and spending time with your loved ones. If you’re like us your driving from one house to the next and need to make sure you’re comfortable yet pulled together for the all day festivities.
High waisted denim and a festive sweater is number one on my list. It’s casual and comfortable and the high waisted denim is great for all the food ahead of me. Finish it off with booties and a small crossbody, to hold all your necessities and you have the perfect look.
The second look is if you need something a bit dressier. You can never go wrong with a sweater dress and OTK boots. Finish it off with a scarf and a few accessories (don’t forget the gloves!) and you have a simple yet modest look. This sweater dress hits right around the knee so you don’t have to worry about flashing the entire family.
